Media Studies

What did you enjoy / dislike about the process?

I enjoyed how I got to make a stop motion about what I wanted to instead of what the teacher wanted to do.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome these?

I had less time as I came into the class later in the term so that gave me three weeks to make a stop motion.

Our team did not work together very well so I decided to make my own stop Motion, I had no clue on what I was doing, so I had to ask the teacher.

I used Lego and Lego Boards.

What would you change if you were to do it again?

Different props for the stop motion. Different Music.

What other insights did you have while participating in Media Studies this rotation?

How to make a stop motion. How everything works in the art world.

  1. Kia ora Abbie-Lei,

My name is Sharon and I am the Education Programme Leader for the Te Ara Tūhura Cluster. I am really glad that you enjoyed the stop motion process, despite having a short time to do it in. Student choice is an important thing so it is good your teacher is happy to facilitate you doing this too. I think I would have been very happy to learn how to do this when I was at school.

Keep up the great learning and blogging,
:) Sharon - Te Ara Tūhura Education Programme Leader
